"Let This Grieving Soul Retire!" is a Japanese light novel series written by Tsukikage and illustrated by Chyko. The story follows Krai Andrey, a Level 8 treasure hunter known as the "Thousand Tricks," who leads the renowned party "Grieving Souls" and the clan "First Steps." Despite his formidable reputation, Krai secretly desires a peaceful retirement, but his companions' escalating expectations continually thrust him into perilous adventures.
Anime Adaptation: An anime television series adaptation was announced on February 20, 2024. Produced by Zero-G and directed by Masahiro Takata, the series premiered on October 1, 2024, on Tokyo MX and other networks. The opening theme song, "Kattō Tomorrow," is performed by Lezel, while the ending theme, "Scream!," is by Pmaru-sama. Crunchyroll streamed the series outside Asia, and Muse Communication licensed it in South and Southeast Asia. Following the 13-episode first season, a second season was announced.
